Located on idyllic South Stradbroke Island and on the water’s edge, surrounded by beaches and natural forest, Couran Cove Resort features a large lap pool, children's pool, children's playground, fitness centre and on-site café and restaurant.

All accommodation offers a balcony with views, a fully equipped kitchen and a flat-screen TV. The en suite bathrooms include a hairdryer, iron, ironing board and free toiletries.

Guests can enjoy a variety of recreational facilities including beach volleyball, basketball, tennis and mini golf as well as an activities program, inflatable water toys, kayaks, stand-up paddle-boards, trampolines and water slides in the lagoon. The extended boardwalk is where you can explore the tropical gardens and treehouse between the surf beach and the marina, and you can also pick up your supply of groceries at the general store.

Portside café and Marlin Bar overlooking the marina are popular spaces for relaxation and refreshment. The Poolside Café is open daily for lunch and dinner and offers a range of cosmopolitan meals.

Ferries operate regularly to Couran Cove Resort to the Gold Coast, 35 minutes' away.

Effective from 17th December 2021 until further notice, all guests (16 years and over) visiting Couran Cove Island Resort, whether for overnight stays or day trips, must be fully vaccinated and carry proof of vaccination with them at all times, in accordance with the QLD Health rules in place for hospitality venues.

Please note that the property is accessible by passenger ferry only. Guests must book ferry transfers in advance. The ferry departs from Mariner's Cove Marina, 60-70 Seaworld Drive, Main Beach, and travel time is 45 minutes. The ferry costs AUD 38 return for an adult and AUD 18 for a child between 3 - 12 years of age. Infants are free. For ferry times, please contact Couran Cove Island Resort using the contact details found on the booking confirmation. There is no overnight parking in Mariner's Cove carpark however there is street parking available.

The ferry costs AUD 58 return for an adult and AUD 29 for a child between 3 - 12 years of age.

AUD 100 credit card pre-authorisation upon check in to cover any incidental charges.

Relaxing and family friendly
Accommodation was excellent, especially for families. There were enough things to keep the kids busy such a swimming, kayaks, bikes, mini golf, table tennis, etc.
Some of the facilities are run down. Management obviously struggle to maintain everything, like some loose planks on boardwalks and poorly maintained sports facilities. Some things just need a good high pressure clean.

Fair
The kids loved getting around on their bikes, they'd ride to the rec room and play games with other kids. The vibe of The Sunset Bar is great, volley ball, drinks and fire on the beach. There are plenty of things for the kids to do.
The cabin we stayed in was ill-equipped and in need of restoration. The dining options at the resort were substandard. Coffee wasn't good and there are no bakery products available, meals were expensive and ordinary. Kids meals were to small, my kids were all hungry after dinner. We did enjoy the buffet breakfast which was reasonably priced. The playground area hasn't been maintained, it's filthy and covered in spiders as is everything around it. Some of the advertised facilities are closed.

very dirty, take cleaning products to wipe down handles, bathroom, kitchen etc and make the most of the beautiful locati
location is great. bike riding around island is fun and great to have kids bike seats available.
The accommodation was foul. it is in desperate need of a thorough clean. Pools are very dirty. The common areas just need a once over thorough clean. We weren’t advised that the beach bar and the entire beach around it would be closed off completely. this is where we had hoped to spend most of our time. there was a 3 night festival there which barely had anyone at it. air conditioning in living room needs servicing as it doesn’t get cold.
